Chapter 3 – My sincerity towards Master is as clear as the sun and moon

"Why didn't you dodge?"

Bai Ruxue looked at Su Jue with a frosty expression.

"My devotion to Master is as clear as the sun and moon. Though love may be separated by mountains and seas, they can all be overcome."

Su Jue spoke with unwavering determination.

"Though love may be separated by mountains and seas, they can all be overcome."

Bai Ruxue's gaze faltered.

The meaning of Su Jue's words was clear: his passionate heart would overcome any obstacle to be with her.

Indeed, for Su Jue, loving her was like facing a chasm as vast as mountains and seas.

Not to boast, but objectively speaking, she was the Sword Immortal Empress, a titan of the Central Continent, and the Sword Sect Master.

Yet Su Jue was merely a disciple. Even with extraordinary talent, the gap between them was more than just a little.

"Ten years ago, without Master, how could I have embarked on the Immortal Path of the Sword Sect? This life belongs to Master."

Su Jue steeled his heart, stepped forward, and grasped Bai Ruxue's sword blade.

Bai Ruxue's weapon was no ordinary iron; it was a superior Immortal Artifact, its sharpness beyond imagination.

It easily sliced open Su Jue's palm, embedding itself in his flesh.

His black hair fluttered in the wind, and blood dripped down the snow-white blade.

Su Jue's expression remained unchanged as he pressed the long sword against his throat.

"If Master desires it, it is yours."

"You..."

Bai Ruxue was stunned. As an emperor-level expert, she found herself at a loss.

"Master, I only wish for your true love."

Su Jue gazed at Bai Ruxue with deep affection.

"True love?"

Bai Ruxue bit her lip. How long had it been since she heard the word love?

After cultivating for thousands of years, she had never been involved in mortal affairs, focusing solely on the Dao. Her loneliness was beyond what ordinary people could endure.

She thought she would remain indifferent to love for her entire life, yet a few words from the young man before her had disturbed her heart.

As a titan of the Central Continent, her disciples needed both talent and character.

Su Jue possessed the Supreme Sword Body, and his future achievements would surpass hers. It was only a matter of time.

Moreover, Su Jue was exceptionally handsome. Even Bai Ruxue, who had seen countless people in the Central Continent, had never seen a man more handsome than Su Jue.

His eyes were bright and clear, a sign of a kind heart. Bai Ruxue couldn't think of a reason to refuse Su Jue.

Su Jue was fearless of the world's judgment and the chasm between them. What more could she say?

Such a devoted disciple, combined with the memories of the past ten years, made it impossible for her to refuse.

"If I can't have Master's true love, I might as well die."

Su Jue smiled faintly.

"Put the sword down first."

Bai Ruxue was deeply moved. She glanced at Su Jue's bloodied hand, feeling a pang of heartache.

"Promise me first."

Su Jue shook his head, his gaze gentle.

There was no turning back. Having chosen this path, he intended to see it through to the end.

Just like ten years ago, when he decided to play the role of a villain.

Once he chose a path, he would not turn back.

Bai Ruxue's face flushed under Su Jue's gaze. She turned her head, lightly biting her lip. "I... I promise you."

"Really?! Master agreed to date me?!"

Su Jue looked at Bai Ruxue with surprise and joy.

"Keep your voice down, or I'll leave!"

Bai Ruxue's face turned a deep shade of red, her voice as soft as a mosquito's.

Despite her exterior as an empress and Sword Sect Master, she was as fragile as paper when it came to emotions.

She was human too, with emotions and desires, previously buried by her cultivation.

Su Jue seemed to have cast a spell on this seed, allowing it to take root and sprout in Bai Ruxue's heart.

"Wonderful! I'm dating Master!"

Su Jue was overjoyed and, in his excitement, stepped forward to embrace Bai Ruxue.

[Ding, task completion level: SSS!]

[Reward: Sword Embryo Heart, Immortal Medicine Golden Elixir, Heaven-Slaying Sword, Fearless Before Gods and Demons!]

Hearing the mechanical voice in his mind, Su Jue was even more exhilarated. Although he hadn't heard of some of the rewards, they sounded impressive!

"Stop fooling around, rebellious disciple. Let me see your hand."

Bai Ruxue blushed and slipped out of Su Jue's embrace.

Apart from Su Jue's sudden kiss, Bai Ruxue, who hadn't had direct contact with a man in a thousand years, was certainly unaccustomed to it.

"It's nothing, Master."

Su Jue was in high spirits and smiled freely.

These were just flesh wounds. A healing pill would make them as good as new.

If it meant winning Master's heart, he would do it a hundred times over.

"Be good, let me see."

Bai Ruxue playfully glared at Su Jue.

"Alright then."

Master's concern made Su Jue happy. He smiled and extended his bloodied hand.

"Does it hurt?"

Bai Ruxue looked at Su Jue with concern. This rebellious disciple was too stubborn, grabbing a sword with his bare hands.

Fingers are connected to the heart; it must have hurt.

"It's alright, Master. The happiness has overshadowed the pain."

Su Jue replied with a genuine smile.

"Smooth talker!"

Bai Ruxue playfully rolled her eyes at Su Jue, her jade-like hand glowing with a soft green light as she healed his wounds.

As the cuts on his hand gradually healed, Su Jue watched Bai Ruxue's perfect profile and couldn't help but smile.

Was this a blessing in disguise?

Having Master as his girlfriend was a fortune many men couldn't cultivate in a lifetime.

Not only did he no longer have to play the villain, but he also upgraded the system, laying a solid foundation for his future path.

"What are you smiling about?"

After healing Su Jue's hand, Bai Ruxue asked curiously.

"I'm smiling because I have such a beautiful wife."

Su Jue spoke the truth.

Bai Ruxue's face flushed slightly as she asked, "Is it just because I'm beautiful? What if I grow old and am no longer young and beautiful? Will you still like me?"

"Well..."

Su Jue smiled mischievously.

"Say it!"

The emotion of nervousness hadn't appeared in Bai Ruxue's heart for a long time.

She cared deeply about Su Jue's answer. If it wasn't what she wanted, she would be very upset.

"After spending ten years with Master, I adore you, both inside and out. Though you seem cold on the outside, I know you're a very gentle and lovely person!"

Su Jue blinked and smiled warmly.

"Very gentle and lovely?"

Bai Ruxue was overwhelmed with shyness, her heart sweet as if filled with honey. It was the first time someone had used those words to describe her.

She had once read in a book that no matter how flawed you are, in the eyes of your lover, you are perfect.

It seemed Su Jue truly saw her as his beloved.

"Yes, so I will always protect Master."

Su Jue smiled.

Letting such an excellent wife slip away would make it hard to find another like her.

Bai Ruxue, like a little girl, hummed, "Then swear it."

"I swear."

Su Jue raised three fingers.

"It's four fingers."

Bai Ruxue pouted.

Su Jue suddenly froze. The moonlight cast on Bai Ruxue's creamy skin, with a faint blush on her cheeks, made her stunningly beautiful.

Everything within a hundred miles paled in comparison to her.

Bai Ruxue was truly the most beautiful woman Su Jue had seen in both his lives.

"Why aren't you saying anything?" Bai Ruxue waved her slender fingers in front of Su Jue.

Su Jue shook his head with a smile and said, "I swear, I will never leave Master."
