Chapter 13 – The Dawn of the Marvel Era

"Now, let me introduce my new weapon—the Jericho Missile.

"To be respected or feared, which is better?"

"The best weapon only needs to be fired once."

"Boom!"

The chaotic noise and explosion jolted Tony Stark awake as if from a nightmare. He opened his eyes and found himself in a cave.

As he tried to sit up, he felt something awkward on his chest. Besides the lingering pain, there seemed to be a cold metal object embedded in his chest. He tore open the bandages and discovered something strange.

"What is this? Could it be a bomb?"

Stark was somewhat terrified by his condition. He tried to sit up but found that the cold metal object was connected by two wires to a car battery. His keen senses scanned the surroundings and noticed a man with glasses shaving.

"You're awake?" Yinsen noticed Stark's movement and said calmly, his eyes fixed on the newspaper in his hand, the only way he could pass the time.

"What did you do to me?" Tony Stark touched the cold metal on his chest, his tone slightly cold.

"My name is Yinsen, and I saved you, Mr. Stark." Yinsen adjusted his glasses, showing no dissatisfaction with Tony Stark. In fact, anyone in Stark's situation would react similarly.

After Yinsen's explanation, Stark understood his predicament:

On his way from Bagram Air Base, the jeep he was in was attacked by a bomb. He was hit by a missile, and Yinsen removed the shrapnel from his chest, but some remained. The object in his chest was an electromagnet, preventing the shrapnel from flowing through his bloodstream. If removed, the shrapnel would pierce vital organs, and he would die.

Stark quickly grasped his situation and calmed down. At this moment, a bearded man barged in with others, speaking a strange language to Stark, which Yinsen translated with his hands on his head.

"They want you to make a missile, this kind."

Yinsen handed over a photo, and Stark's eyes turned cold. The Jericho Missile, the latest missile developed by Stark Industries, was incredibly powerful. The U.S. military had just acquired it, yet these terrorists had already gotten wind of it.

Stark immediately refused. He was an arms dealer but also one who kept his promises. He had promised the U.S. military that the Jericho Missile would only be supplied to them for a long time.

The terrorists pushed him into a pool. After several futile struggles, Stark realized his situation and was taken outside the cave, coldly observing the surrounding crates.

Guns, ammunition, missiles, bombs—all bore the Stark Industries logo. Stark knew he had never sold these weapons to terrorists. His heart sank, realizing someone in Stark Industries was secretly making deals behind his back.

As a genius with high emotional and intellectual intelligence, Stark didn't need much guessing to understand who was behind the weapon sales.

Obadiah!

Only he could sign such a large order without Stark knowing. Moreover, Tony had a worse suspicion.

He had only told a few people about his trip to the Middle East U.S. military base. How did these terrorists know? And how did they know his travel route?

Tony was smart and valued gratitude and loyalty. Although he had a vague answer, he still didn't want to believe it.

Obadiah was his uncle, and he didn't want to believe it.

"Help us make the Jericho Missile, and we'll let you go once it's done."

The terrorists needed him for now, so Tony Stark temporarily chose to compromise. But he also knew that once he made the missile, they would kill him. They gave him a deadline of one week.

One week. What did he need to do to get out of here?

As an ambitious symbiote, absorbing genes was a must. Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Hulk, Spidey, and others all had impressive abilities. However, as a symbiote, he needed to reside in a host to truly be effective.

So, the best host would be someone naive and easily manipulated. Otherwise, who would let an alien organism control their body?

Natasha also craved power, but she had her own ideas and wouldn't let Yang Han control her. On the contrary, she wanted to control Yang Han.

This woman was never a fool.

And Yang Han considered himself not a lust-driven fool who thought he could easily conquer the Black Widow.

Unless Yang Han could truly offer her extraordinary power, just a little wouldn't break Natasha's perception and make her enamored with such power, willingly letting him take control.

Of course, the appearance of Iron Man signaled the beginning of the Marvel Universe's grand era, with superheroes emerging like bamboo shoots after rain.

And the symbiote Venom's trait is that the more powerful hosts it bonds with, the stronger Venom becomes.

Natasha's identity could bring Yang Han many conveniences and conceal his existence, something others couldn't provide.

For now, as a juvenile Venom, it's best to enjoy the beauty's body obediently.

Don't overthink it.

Because even if you do, you won't get it.

Why trouble yourself when you can cling to Natasha's thigh and enjoy her soft waves?

When the time comes, and superheroes emerge, he can quietly copy their genes, can't he?

For five consecutive days, Natasha searched several valleys in Afghanistan. Although she encountered many terrorists, they weren't the ones who kidnapped Tony.

Afghanistan wasn't a place for sightseeing. In just five days, Natasha's spirit was noticeably worn, and her skin would have been rough if she hadn't insisted on Yang Han turning into a bodysuit.

"There are two or three valleys left. We should be able to finish searching in two days and hopefully find Tony's trail." Natasha glanced at the map, filled up the car with gas, and set off again.

Yang Han didn't make a sound. He estimated that by now, Tony should have built the Mark I Armor.
