Gulu's entire dragon face was filled with a radiant glow of happiness. His dragon horns shone brightly as he tilted his head to look at the entrance to the Emperor's World, his two dragon whiskers twitching provocatively.

A cold snort came from outside, filled with jealousy. This Little Turtle had been looked after by Gulu all the way, with all the guidance and care naturally falling on Gulu's shoulders.

The dozen or so little turtles he had cared for had not yet reached the point where they needed to cross the Heavenly Tribulation - in fact, for hundreds of thousands of years, apart from the three ancestral Dragon Turtles who had retired, the remaining four Dragon Turtles had been doing this job.

Silently watching the Little Turtles embark on the path of the Dragon Turtles, advancing and perishing, time and time again filled with hope, and time and time again disappointedly withdrawing their gaze.
