Jack climbed the old stairs, walked through the narrow corridor, and took out the key. The rusty lock made a creaking sound, as if tired of being locked for many years.

Jack walked through the living room and entered the bedroom. The only source of light in the dim environment was a broken TV, casting an icy blue glow on the walls.
