According to Lester's investigation, the fortress was filled with terrifying flesh monsters. There were at least three with spiritual energy over level 16, and more than twenty with spiritual energy over level 15.

With the team's combat power, it was difficult to take it down.

Even worse, these flesh monsters could resurrect. Lester had tried to lure a few monsters out of the fortress, but after killing them, their flesh merged into the void and resurrected within the fortress.
