Chapter 10 – Stealing the Sky, Replacing the Sun

The crowd hurriedly opened their eyes, and then they witnessed a scene that they would never forget.

The henchman with the sharp nose and monkey-like face was clutching his wrist, writhing in agony on the ground.

His wrist was twisted at an unnatural angle, clearly broken.

Yet Lin Changsheng remained quietly standing in place, not even changing his posture.

It was as if everything that had just happened had nothing to do with him.

"What happened?" Everyone was bewildered. They hadn't seen what transpired. How did that henchman's hand break on its own?

Could it be that he hit too hard and injured himself?

That's just too ridiculous! Not far away, Li Hu was also stunned. His pupils contracted as he stared intently at Lin Changsheng.

Even with his vision at the fourth level of Qi Refining, he hadn't seen Lin Changsheng make a move. No, Lin Changsheng hadn't moved at all!

Could it be... another case of "fortune"? In Li Hu's mind, the recent legend circulating in the Outer Sect surfaced involuntarily.

A "Lucky Star" with heaven-defying fortune. Anyone who provoked him would end up unlucky.

Previously, he had scoffed at this. What nonsense about fortune, it's all meaningless in the face of absolute strength. But now, he was starting to believe it.

The scene before him was just too bizarre. Lin Changsheng looked at the henchman rolling on the ground, his eyes devoid of any emotion.

Just a moment ago, as the opponent's palm swung towards him.

He had used a sliver of mind power, precisely targeting the opponent's wrist. Then, with a gentle twist, it became what it was now.

Simple, efficient, and without leaving any evidence. He was growing increasingly fond of this feeling.

"Is there anyone else who wants my Spirit Stones and Elixirs?" Lin Changsheng glanced around and asked calmly.

Wherever his gaze landed, Li Hu's other henchmen instinctively took a step back. They were all frightened by the eerie scene.

Li Hu's expression was so dark it seemed like water could drip from it. He hadn't expected to encounter such a strange and tough opponent today.

In front of so many people, if he let this go, how could he continue to mix in the Outer Sect? "Kid, no matter where you come from, today, you must give me an explanation!"

Li Hu roared, unleashing the full force of his fourth level of Qi Refining. A powerful pressure swept towards Lin Changsheng.

The surrounding disciples were forced to retreat repeatedly under this pressure, their faces turning pale.

However, Lin Changsheng, at the center of the pressure, stood like a rock, unmoved. His "first level of Qi Refining" physique seemed so insignificant in the face of Li Hu's momentum.

Yet it was so... unwavering. "An explanation? What kind of explanation do you want?" Lin Changsheng looked at Li Hu, a playful curve appearing at the corner of his mouth.

"Very simple," Li Hu sneered.

"Hand over all of your monthly stipend. Then, kneel and kowtow to me three times. We'll call it even."

He intended to make an example out of him. He wanted everyone to know the consequences of offending Li Hu.

No matter how lucky you are, you must bow before absolute strength!

"Oh?" Lin Changsheng raised an eyebrow. "And if I still refuse?"

"Then I'll personally break your limbs and let you lie in bed for three months!" Li Hu's eyes gleamed with ferocity as he stepped towards Lin Changsheng.

He had already decided to personally cripple this kid. Lin Changsheng watched Li Hu approach, not only unafraid but smiling instead.

He tossed the storage bag in his hand lightly into the air.

"Want it? Take it." The storage bag traced a parabola in the air, flying towards Li Hu.

Li Hu instinctively reached out to catch it. He thought Lin Changsheng was scared and had given in.

However, just as his hand was about to touch the storage bag, a sudden change occurred.

For some reason, the mouth of the storage bag suddenly loosened. The ten Low-grade Spirit Stones and the bottle of Qi Gathering Pills inside slipped out of the bag.

Like the Heavenly Maiden Scattering Flowers, they scattered all around. "My Spirit Stones!"

"Elixirs!" The surrounding disciples, seeing the scattered Spirit Stones and Elixirs, had their eyes turn red.

These were their cultivation resources for a month! Who wouldn't want more?

In an instant, the crowd became restless.

Someone moved first, and dozens of disciples pounced on the scattered Spirit Stones and Elixirs like hungry wolves. The scene quickly spiraled out of control.

To seize the resources, the disciples began shoving each other, even breaking into fights.

Li Hu was also caught off guard by this sudden change. By the time he reacted, he was already swept into the chaotic crowd.

"Get out of my way!" he roared in anger, trying to push the people around him away.

But at this moment, everyone was blinded by greed, not caring whether he was Li Hu or not.

Some even dared to kick him several times amidst the chaos.

Li Hu was jostled around, looking utterly disheveled.

Meanwhile, at the center of the chaos, the instigator Lin Changsheng had already used teleportation to silently retreat to the edge of the crowd.

He watched the chaos unfold with a cold smile on his lips.

Earlier, he had not only used mind power to open the storage bag.

But also, in the instant he tossed it, used a micro teleportation to swap the contents of his storage bag with the Spirit Stones and Elixirs Li Hu had just extorted.

In other words, what the crowd was scrambling for now was actually Li Hu's "protection fee." Lin Changsheng's own monthly stipend was already safely tucked away in his storage bag.

This trick of Stealing the Sky and Replacing the Sun was executed without anyone noticing. By the time Li Hu extricated himself from the chaos, the ground was already empty.

The protection fee he had painstakingly collected this month was all gone. His face was as black as the bottom of a pot.

His furious gaze searched the crowd. He wanted to find that kid and tear him to pieces!

However, after searching for a long time, there was no sign of Lin Changsheng. It was as if that person had never appeared.

"Ah—!" Li Hu roared to the sky, his voice filled with endless frustration and anger.

Outside the crowd, Lin Changsheng weighed the hefty storage bag in his hand and turned to leave. Today was another bountiful day.
