Chapter 11 – Heavenly Court Unveiled!

Xia Chen noticed the strange transformation, his pupils contracting. For the past two months, he had been trying to awaken this jade seal, but it had shown no response at all.

Today, however, faint strands of light began to spread. Xia Chen quickened his pace, crossed the vast Marquis Manor, and entered his own courtyard room, closing the door behind him.

He felt a burning sensation in his palm, as if something was about to grow out of his flesh and blood.

Xia Chen could clearly sense a connection between himself and the jade seal, as if they were symbiotic, sharing the same origin.

Within the jade seal, strands of Chaos Qi permeated. In a daze, Xia Chen seemed to see Dao and Principle intertwining, with Chains of Divine Order shooting forth.

Mysterious runes surfaced on the jade seal, and Xia Chen saw billions of beings prostrating on the ground, celestial fire burning. At the center of a vast territory spanning billions of miles, a tall sacrificial altar was constructed from Five-Colored Chaos Stone.

A mysterious and ancient ritual!

Xia Chen heard the sound of the ritual, as if it was piercing through the heavens.

"Is it calling me?"

Xia Chen felt dizzy, his ears ringing, and goosebumps rose all over his body.

At this moment, the previously illusory jade seal slowly became real, as if it was about to manifest in the world, descending from some unknown place.

Involuntarily, Xia Chen moved towards the jade seal suspended in the room, emitting strands of purple aura.

In the next instant, he vanished from the room, absorbed into the jade seal.

Outside the room, everything remained calm, and not a single person in the Marquis Zhendong's Manor, renowned for its countless powerful figures, noticed anything amiss.

...

Xia Chen quickly steadied his mind, looked around, and found himself in an unfamiliar world.

This world was frozen, deathly silent.

Only the area around Xia Chen showed signs of life, a normal place amidst the stillness.

Xia Chen discovered he was standing on a tall five-colored altar, with various items placed upon it.

A Primordial Ferocious Beast, larger than a mountain, still dripped fresh blood, as if it had been hunted not long ago.

There was also a piece of Chaos Jade Marrow exuding Chaos Qi, and crimson-gold Phoenix Divine Metal.

"Is that... a Phoenix Egg?"

Xia Chen examined the items, realizing that although he was seeing them for the first time, information about them suddenly appeared in his mind.

He saw, floating in the distance, an egg with a rich vitality, seemingly undergoing rebirth.

His heart trembled.

Nearby the pure-blooded Phoenix Egg, another egg seemed to resonate with it.

"A Dragon Egg!"

Xia Chen found it hard to remain calm. Phoenixes and true dragons had long vanished.

Pure-blooded Phoenixes and true dragons, as the most supreme divine beasts in the world, would cause chaos whenever they appeared.

In the era of Spiritual Energy Revival, some had obtained a few drops of Phoenix Marrow and Dragon Blood, quickly rising to power.

But now, here were a Phoenix Egg and a Dragon Egg, seemingly still alive, which was astonishing.

"Using Primordial Ferocious Beasts, rare materials, and even pure-blooded dragon and phoenix as offerings, who is this ritual for? The Azure Heavens? No, it can't be!"

Xia Chen's mind was in turmoil, wondering who could enjoy such offerings.

He instinctively thought it was a ritual for the Azure Heavens, but upon looking around, he immediately dismissed the idea, for he stood above the Azure Heavens, high atop the Nine Heavens!

This was a vast palace complex, built with stars as materials, spanning billions of miles, seemingly suppressing the heavens.

At this moment, Xia Chen seemed to transform into the deity of this place, the entire world within his view, understanding some of its circumstances.

He had gained some sort of permission.

Xia Chen wanted to consume the offerings, but as he approached, an invisible barrier blocked him.

After many attempts, he finally gave up, realizing that full permission had not been granted to him.

"Have I not been recognized here, or is there some other reason, perhaps insufficient conditions to unlock it?"

Xia Chen murmured to himself, speculating, but soon stopped dwelling on it, continuing to observe this mysterious world.

"Is this the Heavenly Court, once incredibly powerful, ruling over the heavens, but for some reason, it fell, and everything was frozen!"

Xia Chen saw heavenly soldiers and generals frozen in the distance, and the names on various palaces.

Lingxiao Hall, Ministry of War, Medicine Hall, Hanlin Academy, Hundred Schools of Thought Academy, Demon-Slaying Platform, God-Sealing Platform, Skill Repository Pavilion, Mortal-Shedding Pool...

All sorts of departments were present, with terrifying figures standing within, but all these palaces were frozen.

Their lives seemed dim, but within them, a crystal stone exuding a special Dao rhythm, filled with the rules of the Great Dao, was being nurtured.

As Xia Chen was observing, a dragon's roar echoed in his ears.

Xia Chen's pupils contracted violently, seeing a golden divine dragon, spanning unknown territories, charging out of the Zixiao Hall.

The dragon's head was visible, but its tail was not.

However, this divine dragon seemed to be in a dire state, extremely weak, its golden light dim, as if about to completely vanish from this world.

"Fortune Divine Dragon!"

Suddenly, Xia Chen's mind recalled the origin of this dragon.

The Fortune Divine Dragon's eyes were full of spirit, and upon seeing Xia Chen's figure, its gaze was filled with intense joy.

In the blink of an eye, it appeared above Xia Chen's head, and before he could react, it plunged into his forehead, merging with him.

Xia Chen felt as if his body was about to explode.

A massive energy poured into him, shattering his meridians instantly.

But soon, this energy carried a vast vitality, and Xia Chen's body, which was disintegrating segment by segment, began to regenerate rapidly.

Destruction and vitality cycled endlessly.

They intertwined, opposing yet unified.

Xia Chen's body seemed to transform into a vessel, now maintaining a unique balance.

Simultaneously, Xia Chen's eyes seemed to undergo intense stimulation, and the previously faint double pupils began to fully manifest, his black-gold eyes appearing to mutate.

In his bright eye sockets, two pupils appeared, one yin and one yang, seemingly the fusion of sun and moon, with purple-gold aura permeating, and the Fortune Golden Dragon flashed by, seemingly merging with his pupils.

Double pupils, an ancient phenomenon, the exclusive sign of ancient sages and emperors, rumored to grant those who possess them a Supreme Fate.

As long as they do not die prematurely, they become rulers of the heavens.

And now, the double pupils within Xia Chen were beginning to awaken...

This process lasted an unknown amount of time, and Xia Chen awoke to find his physique forged like diamond, his entire being subtly transformed from the inside out.

"That golden dragon was condensed from the Fortune of this ruined Heavenly Court, but now it has entered my body?"

Xia Chen's expression was grave. A Fortune Dynasty could gather the fortune of the world, appoint Divine Officials, who could cultivate using the Dynastic Fortune.

This was also the fundamental reason for the later Celestial Dynasty Struggle.

The world's conflicts were all for the power of fortune.

Only the ruler of a dynasty could bear the Golden Fortune Dragon of the nation, but now, it seemed he had absorbed that Golden Fortune Dragon?
