Chapter 9 – Shift change request

The person most affected was naturally the homeroom teacher of this class, Liu Letian.

Han Wu's performance was evident to all. If he continued to develop steadily, he would definitely be able to enter a first-class university, and perhaps even compete for a spot in a top-tier university.

Liu Letian could also benefit from Han Wu's success and receive rewards from the school.

If Han Wu really transferred to another class, wouldn't the reward that was almost in his grasp slip away?

Liu Letian quickly put on his most amiable expression and tried to persuade him, "Han Wu, I admit that I haven't paid much attention to you before, and I apologize for that. But your performance today has truly impressed me. I promise to guide you well in the future, and I'll ensure that you receive a fair share of the daily teaching resources."

"So, please trust me and give me a chance to correct my mistakes."

Liu Letian lowered his stance significantly to keep Han Wu.

However, Han Wu did not accept Liu Letian's belated apology.

With his Life Sacrifice ability, he didn't care about resource allocation.

He simply found Liu Letian unpleasant.

"I request a class transfer," Han Wu reiterated.

Liu Letian's face turned blue and purple. Han Wu's actions were a slap in his face in front of many students.

"Han Wu, transferring classes isn't something you can just decide on; the school has its rules," Xu Mei said.

But before Liu Letian could feel relieved, Xu Mei continued, "If you really want to transfer classes, you'll need to pass a test set by the school. If you pass, I can arrange the transfer for you."

"Then I apply to take the test," Han Wu said firmly.

As soon as he finished speaking, Qin Shuang suddenly stood up as well, "Director Xu, I also want to apply for the test."

Liu Letian was about to lose it.

While he was reluctant to see Han Wu transfer, it wasn't something he couldn't let go of.

But if Qin Shuang also transferred, it would be a huge loss.

Han Wu was just a potential talent, and his future was uncertain.

Qin Shuang, however, was a top student, ranking in the top five of her grade, and she was almost guaranteed to enter a first-class university, with a chance to compete for a top-tier university spot if she worked hard.

More importantly, Qin Shuang's family was powerful and had extensive businesses.

As Qin Shuang's teacher, Liu Letian could benefit significantly from this relationship.

If Qin Shuang left, Liu Letian would suffer a tremendous loss.

"Qin Shuang, if you have any dissatisfaction with me, please tell me, and I will definitely change. There's no need to escalate this to a class transfer," Liu Letian said with a forced smile, trying to retain her.

"There's nothing I'm dissatisfied with; I just don't want to stay," Qin Shuang directly interrupted Liu Letian's thoughts.

Xu Mei, knowing the strength of Qin Shuang's family background, didn't want to offend her either, so she agreed, "I'll prepare the test for you both tomorrow."

As Xu Mei was about to leave, another student called out to her.

"Director Xu, I also apply to take the test."

Liu Letian looked at this student, almost in tears.

This student was Zhang Xiaolong, the class president, whose comprehensive strength was steadily in the top ten of the grade and had always been Liu Letian's confidant.

"Xiaolong, why are you joining in on this?" Liu Letian's voice was tinged with tears.

He was counting on Qin Shuang and Zhang Xiaolong to earn him some bonuses at graduation, but now they were both clamoring to transfer classes.

"Mr. Liu, thank you for your care and guidance these days, but I can't stay in this class anymore," Zhang Xiaolong said earnestly, glancing at Qin Shuang.

He had been secretly in love with Qin Shuang for a long time but had never won her heart.

Now that Qin Shuang was transferring, he naturally had to follow to prevent anyone else from getting ahead.

Xu Mei gave Liu Letian a disapproving look. Two top students wanting to transfer was enough to show Liu Letian's failure in teaching.

"I'll prepare the test for you tomorrow. Mr. Liu, come with me."

After saying this, Xu Mei left the classroom without looking back, and Liu Letian followed behind, dejected.

The day's classes quickly ended.

As school was dismissed, Han Wu was about to teleport home when Qin Shuang rushed up to him and demanded, "Han Wu, tell me, what's the deal with your hero lifeform?"

Han Wu frowned slightly, "What does that have to do with you?"

"Of course, it has to do with me. You owe me 150 points of Divine Power, and if you can't repay it, you'll have to become my slave to pay off the debt. So I have the right to know where your hero lifeform came from!" Qin Shuang argued stubbornly.

Han Wu was even more speechless. Owing a total of 150 points of Divine Power and she wanted him to be a slave to pay it off? Damn, that was insulting!

He said angrily, "If you want to collect the debt, I can pay you 5 Divine Power points as interest first. But if you want to inquire about the hero lifeform, then there's nothing to say."

With that, Han Wu didn't wait for Qin Shuang to respond and disappeared from his seat, obviously teleporting home.

"Damn it!" Qin Shuang slammed the table in frustration.

She felt that Han Wu was born to counter her.

On the other side, back home, Han Wu casually ate something before entering the Divine Login Pod to check the current situation in the Divine Realm.

After a fierce battle, the number of Self-Detonating Locusts and Bursting Pulp Locusts in the Divine Realm had drastically reduced.

The eggs of ordinary locusts were affected by the battle, with 40% becoming non-viable.

Of the remaining 60%, only 20% successfully hatched into larvae.

After cultivation, there were currently 1 billion ordinary locusts in the Divine Realm.

The Self-Detonating Locusts had recovered to 1 million, while the Bursting Pulp Locusts were only 30,000.

With this meager force, Han Wu honestly had no confidence in facing tomorrow's test.

At this moment, Iron-Cleaving Sword Wind sensed Han Wu's arrival and prayed, "Oh great deity, the escaped Wolf Riders are hiding in the Mining Zone. Shall we eliminate them?"

Han Wu then remembered that the Wolf Riders hadn't been completely wiped out, with dozens having escaped.

These followers of Zhang Gang left in his Divine Realm were ultimately a threat and needed to be eradicated quickly.

But killing them outright seemed wasteful.

So Han Wu issued a divine decree to Iron-Cleaving Sword Wind, "Capture those Wolf Riders alive; I have a use for them."

Iron-Cleaving Sword Wind received Han Wu's divine decree and immediately took action.

In a few days, he captured all the Wolf Riders, tied them up, and presented them to Han Wu.

As the time approached 11:40 PM, Han Wu once again used Life Sacrifice, sacrificing over a billion ordinary locusts and dozens of Wolf Riders.

The dozens of Wolf Riders turned into masses of vibrant life force, merging into the sacrificial array, their total amount equal to the life force of 2 billion locusts.

When the sacrificial ceremony ended, three items appeared before Han Wu.

Option one: Alpha Mech, a mechanical creation comparable to a Transcendent lifeform.

Option two: Level 1 Great Furnace Blueprint, capable of establishing a large furnace to forge Faith Equipment.

Option three: Watchtower, three units. Provides long-range vision to prevent enemy invasion.

Looking at the three options, Han Wu couldn't help but wonder if his luck had run out, as none of the options suited him.

The Alpha Mech, comparable to a Transcendent lifeform, sounded great, but Han Wu's core followers were locusts, lacking intelligence to pilot a mech.

The Level 1 Great Furnace Blueprint, capable of building a large furnace for forging equipment, was suitable for auxiliary logistics construction. But for Han Wu, it wasn't very useful, as his core followers were locusts. Could he rely on locusts to forge?

As for the Watchtower, it was even less necessary.

Han Wu's current Divine Realm was a total of 160 square kilometers, with a length and width of only 14 kilometers, mostly plains, where you could see everything at a glance. Building a watchtower was like putting on pants to fart.

However, speaking of forging, Han Wu remembered the 800 dwarf captives he had left mining in the Mining Zone of his Divine Realm.

What was their situation now?

Han Wu instinctively directed his thoughts there.

He discovered that these dwarves were actually doing quite well!

Originally only 800 dwarves, in less than two years of Divine Realm time, they had now multiplied to 900.

They even took it upon themselves to forge the mined resources into various weapons for Han Wu, the deity, to collect at any time.

"Are dwarves really this reasonable?" Han Wu was surprised and projected his consciousness in front of an elderly dwarf.

This elderly dwarf was a general believer, and upon seeing Han Wu's consciousness projection, he immediately realized it was the deity before him.

This novel is available on "p𝑎wread.com".

The elderly dwarf immediately moved his short, stout body and knelt before Han Wu, "Oh deity, thank you for granting us a wonderful life."

Han Wu was even more puzzled. Since capturing the dwarves, he had only given one order: to mine.

In Han Wu's mind, these dwarves were just backup lifeforms for sacrifice, without any special treatment, let alone a wonderful life.

Through divine means, Han Wu read the memories of the elderly dwarf and finally understood his words.

It turned out that in Zhang Bin's Divine Realm, although dwarves were core followers, they didn't live well.

Zhang Bin demanded that everyone be a soldier, and every dwarf, from birth, had to suppress their love for forging and undergo mandatory military training, with many dwarf children dying during training.

After being taken into Han Wu's Divine Realm, these dwarves no longer needed to undergo strict military management and could do what they loved.

Mining and forging were their passions.

Moreover, the Mining Zone was adjacent to the Forest Zone, making it easy to find food, ensuring their survival.

Compared to Zhang Bin's Divine Realm, this was heaven.

Seeing the dwarves with such understanding, Han Wu had an epiphany.

Why not tame these dwarves for his own use, making them ordinary followers to provide logistical support?

At least they had a talent for forging equipment.

With this decision, Han Wu made his choice among the three options.

He chose the Great Furnace Blueprint.

Then Han Wu entrusted the task of building the Great Furnace to the dwarves.

Upon hearing that the deity had bestowed a divine gift to help them forge better, the dwarves were all excited, and general believers became true believers, with Faith Power increasing significantly.

Altogether, it was another substantial gain.

Han Wu smiled and vanished from the dwarves' sight.

He had more important things to do next.

That was to frantically build up his forces to prepare for tomorrow's test.
