Chapter 30 – Want to run?

One day passed, and the Prodigy Tournament came to an end.

Su Jue and his companions left, walking along the streets of Chaoge City.

"Aren't you two going to report back to your respective clans?" Su Jue glanced at Han Yun and the girl with supreme-grade talent, asking.

"To be honest, Senior Brother, Han Yun has no parents, no relatives, drifting alone in the Vast Land, with no attachments," Han Yun said with dim eyes, sighing.

Su Jue comforted her, "I'm sorry for bringing up your sad past."

As the protagonist, one always has to lose something.

A life of complete happiness isn't for the protagonist; being orphaned and having a seemingly useless talent fits her identity better.

Just like him, although he gained handsomeness, he lost ugliness, which is a sad thing.

"It's okay," Han Yun forced a smile, her strong demeanor evoking a bit of sympathy.

"Don't worry, Junior Sister Han, the Sword Sect is your home," An Ke sympathetically reassured her.

"Thank you, Senior Sister," Han Yun expressed her gratitude. She indeed needed a sanctuary, and the Sword Sect seemed the safest place now.

At least, Su Jue and An Ke treated her well, their personalities bringing her a long-lost warmth.

"And you?" Su Jue looked at the girl beside him. They were about the same age, both beautiful, destined to be stunning beauties in time.

"Senior, my home is very far from Chaoge."

"Going back would be too time-consuming, taking several days, so I won't return."

"I've already communicated with my family and friends, so there's no need to go back."

Unlike Han Yun, the girl didn't directly call him Senior Brother. She was a bit reserved and nervous.

After all, standing before her was a Heavenly Prodigy, and so handsome. How could she not feel pressured?

Su Jue nodded; since that was the case, there was nothing to worry about.

"Su Jue, are you really not coming back with me?" An Ke looked at Su Jue, her eyes filled with reluctance.

"I haven't been home for a long time, and since my home is in Chaoge, I won't go back with Senior Sister," Su Jue said with a smile, shaking his head. Traveling with Senior Sister was certainly delightful, but a man's soft spot is always his parents.

He hadn't returned to his little courtyard in a long time, and his clear eyes showed a hint of nostalgia and warmth.

"Alright then, I really wanted to stay in Chaoge with you and see Uncle and Aunt," An Ke sighed, pursing her lips.

She had just received a letter from her Master, saying there was something important requiring her immediate return.

She had originally planned to spend a few more days in Chaoge City with Su Jue.

Su Jue chuckled, "There will be a chance. I'll definitely introduce you to my parents."

Cultivators have a vast lifespan, and a few months or even years pass in the blink of an eye.

So for cultivators, life is extremely long, with plenty of things to do.

"Really?" An Ke blushed slightly, her face tinged with a rosy hue.

Su Jue replied earnestly, "Of course, a bride must meet her in-laws."

"Bad guy, you're the ugly one! I'm not ugly!" An Ke pouted, protesting.

"No, wait, what nonsense, who's your bride?" An Ke suddenly realized, her face turning a deep red, the blush spreading to her snow-white neck, stunningly beautiful.

"Well then, my mom told me to find a daughter-in-law soon. Since Senior Sister doesn't want to, I'll just find..."

"I do!" An Ke panicked, immediately responding.

Su Jue was now at the peak of his fame, with terrifying talent, handsome looks, and a flair for poetry.

Who knew how many women would flock to Su Jue? If he wanted, he could have a harem of three thousand!

"Oh, I won't talk to you anymore, bad Su Jue, you're teasing me again!"

Just as she finished speaking, she saw Su Jue's mischievous smile, and An Ke immediately realized, covering her flushed face.

"Hahaha, Senior Sister is so cute," Su Jue laughed, feeling reluctant to see her leave. Having Senior Sister around added much joy to his life.

To be honest, no man is immune to beautiful women, and with Senior Sister being so adorable and gentle, how could Su Jue let her go?

If he saw Senior Sister in another man's arms, he wouldn't forgive himself; that would be pure foolishness.

Children make choices, adults want it all!

An Ke, blushing, looked at Su Jue and murmured, "Do you really think I'm cute?"

"Of course, there's no one cuter than Senior Sister in my heart," Su Jue replied with a smile, his voice gentle.

"Can I always be in your heart?" An Ke whispered, wishing she could find a hole to hide in after saying such an embarrassing thing. She didn't even know how she managed to say it.

But facing Su Jue, she was defenseless, wanting to say those words, wanting Su Jue's answer.

"Forgive me, Junior Brother, I've thought about it for a long time and can't find a reason to refuse," Su Jue said sincerely. Senior Sister was like a blank sheet of paper; how could he bear to let it get stained?

"Does that mean you agree?" An Ke looked intently at Su Jue's handsome face, her bright eyes shining like stars in the sky.

"Of course," Su Jue smiled slightly, his eyes bright and teeth white, extraordinarily handsome.

On the bustling street, with people coming and going, it was lively, yet the two seemed to block out all the noise around them.

Looking at each other's reflection in their eyes, they were lost in each other's warmth and charm.

"I'll wait for you at the Sword Sect, come back soon," An Ke said, pursing her lips as if making a decision.

She gently stood on tiptoe and kissed Su Jue on the cheek.

Smooch~

"I'm leaving now!"

Feeling extremely shy, An Ke was about to escape but was pulled back by Su Jue.

"Trying to run?" Su Jue smirked, not letting such a lovely Senior Sister get away.

Besides, if he got forcibly kissed, where would his dignity go?

An Ke wanted to say something, but Su Jue pulled her into his arms, his hand resting on her slender waist, and lowered his head...

"Mmm~" An Ke wanted to struggle but found she couldn't muster any strength.

Her jade-like arms uncontrollably wrapped around Su Jue's neck, and on the festively decorated, bustling street, they were like a beautiful sculpture.

Senior Sister's lips were so soft.

"This..." The girl was caught off guard by the public display of affection, looking at Han Yun beside her, only to find her with her back turned.

"You bad person! That was my first kiss," An Ke whispered, her face flushed, softly complaining.

Leaning against Su Jue's solid chest, listening to his strong heartbeat, she felt like the happiest person at that moment.

"It was also my first kiss with Senior Sister," Su Jue said with a smile.

"Really?" An Ke was a bit skeptical. With Su Jue's charm, she didn't believe he hadn't had a Dao Partner.

"Of course, if I were obsessed with beauty, how could I have reached the Golden Elixir stage at eighteen?" Su Jue replied truthfully. To avoid attachments in this world, he had turned down the affections of many girls.

"Then how are you so skilled?" An Ke asked, puzzled.

This life was indeed his first kiss, but the previous one might not have been.

Su Jue coughed lightly, "Perhaps it's a natural talent."
