Chapter 23 – Great Xia, a bunch of nonsense

At this moment.

With the conclusion of the Great Xia press conference, a massive uproar had already erupted on the international internet!

"Is what Great Xia said true? Is a deity really going to descend?"

"It seems real, they've even released a video, and there's bone fragments..."

"Hahaha, this is killing me, no way, no one actually believes this, right?"

"It's 2201, hasn't everyone seen the Avengers by now? Those effects companies can churn out five of those videos a day!"

"Exactly, what can a crappy video prove? And the clarity, tsk tsk, just filming some bones in the Deep Sea, give me Photoshop and I could draw it myself!"

"And those bone fragments, haha, surely no one is that naive, the Free Nation used the detergent trick ages ago!"

"Right, Great Xia is so unoriginal, at least show some convincing evidence. I suspect that broken bone fragment was just picked up randomly on the street."

"No, don't talk nonsense, I believe in the existence of deities. I believe in Jesus! Enough talk, I'm packing up to welcome the deity!"

"Exactly. Even if there are deities, they must be as benevolent as in the myths, how could they invade us? Talking about disasters... Great Xia people just love to exaggerate."

"Our White Elephant Nation has long said, Great Xia people just love to lie and boast..."

On the international internet, public opinion was divided.

Most fell into two camps.

One camp was adamantly disbelieving, thinking Great Xia was lying.

The other camp, mostly religious, believed in the deity Great Xia spoke of, but rather than believing Great Xia, they believed in the existence of the benevolent and loving deities from mythological stories, with some even preparing to pack up and welcome the deity's arrival.

As for the disaster Great Xia mentioned.

They didn't believe it at all!

How could deities exist?

Even if they did, they should be as benevolent and loving as in the myths, like the righteous and unyielding god of strength, Hercules, or the all-embracing, all-forgiving Jehovah...

Great Xia must be lying!

Inside the Great Xia Supreme Command Center.

"It seems he's already planning the next step."

Through the glass window, Old Jin watched Lin Fan guiding the heirs of Ancient Martial Arts in practicing the Godslaying Demon-Exterminating Art, his gaze complex: "Sometimes, it really feels like this kid isn't a young man at all. He doesn't have a trace of youthful impatience."

"Heh, don't mistake him for a young man, this guy's probably been through much more than we have." Chen Yan smiled wryly, then glanced at his phone, his expression turning grim.

"Are these people idiots?" Chen Yan handed the phone to Old Jin, "We've laid the facts right in front of them! Showed them the evidence, the video, the bone samples, we can even provide the coordinates of the remains for them to explore!"

"And all the analysis data of those bone samples, we've sent it to them word for word!"

"And yet these people, why are they so stubborn?"

"They refuse to believe anything!"

"They say the video is fake, the bone samples are just pig bones we picked up."

"Even," Chen Yan looked incredulous, "someone went to those coordinates, the filming boat indeed saw the skeleton, but they still insist we threw it into the sea ourselves, staging the whole thing!"

"And those analysis reports, any discerning person can see the hardness of those bones is extraordinary, yet those people in the Free Nation would rather believe it's a new material developed by Great Xia than believe it's the bones of a deity."

"Do these people really want to die at the hands of a deity?"

"We're kindly warning them, and yet they accuse us of having ulterior motives, trying to deceive them?"

"Some even mock us, saying all of Great Xia has gone mad... it's just incomprehensible!"

Chen Yan clenched his fists.

As someone devoted to scientific research, he couldn't comprehend the malice of human nature, nor could he imagine how those countries could so blatantly distort the truth, feigning ignorance.

Great Xia, out of goodwill, warned the world of the impending danger.

Yet, not only did they not appreciate it, they turned around and mocked and insulted?

"Heh, if they don't want to believe, then let them be." Old Jin wasn't too affected, only saying coldly, "Lin Fan said it before, a living Buddha can't save a damned ghost."

"We've laid out all the evidence for them, we've done our utmost."

"To be honest, given what they've done to Great Xia in the past, we could have chosen not to tell them at all. Let them be caught unprepared and suffer a great loss."

"But Great Xia has always been magnanimous, which is why we do things that are almost like repaying evil with good. If it were them, they wouldn't do the same."

Old Jin paused for a moment, then continued, "Let them keep mocking, keep insulting. We just need to be prepared."

"In three months' time."

"I want to see who will still be mocking Great Xia!"

"I want to see how many countries will turn around, humbly begging for Great Xia's help!"

Hearing Old Jin's words, Chen Yan stopped sulking and nodded, "I'll go arrange the next steps. Shang Weitian from the Ministry of Commerce has told me about the plan to acquire steel resources, and I'm ready to cooperate with him!"

Only with the steel resources in place can the construction of the Iron Great Wall begin.

This is urgent!

Without waiting for Old Jin's reply, Chen Yan turned and left quickly.

Now, every second is extremely precious!

Meanwhile.

A top-level remote meeting was urgently convened ten minutes after the Great Xia press conference concluded!

"Everyone, you've all seen the Great Xia press conference, right?" Puchuan, the leader of the Free Nation, looked at the meeting members on the screen and said solemnly, "What do you think of what Great Xia said?"

As soon as he finished speaking.

The people on the screen immediately expressed their opinions.

"Great Xia, it's all nonsense!"
