Chapter 7 – The Death of Qian Yuanzi

Inside the temple, Qian Yuanzi was nearly driven mad.

Seeing this, a fierce determination surged within Hua Erling. He picked up the chopping knife from the ground and swung it without hesitation.

"Get lost!"

With a shake of his arm, Qian Yuanzi sent Hua Erling crashing uncontrollably into the wall, blood gushing from his mouth as he fell unconscious.

"Immortal fate, the immortal fate is mine..."

Qian Yuanzi was completely deranged, and in his desperation to surpass Li Shiwuwu, he began tearing large chunks of flesh from his own body.

Witnessing this scene.

A sense of satisfaction, like a refreshing spring in the scorching summer, filled Li Shiwuwu, making him feel exhilarated.

For countless nights, he had awoken from dreams in a cold sweat, fearing he would be chopped down by his opponent.

But now, it was finally coming to an end.

"Master, thank you."

"Thank you for personally granting me this Seed Immortal Temple. Once I become an immortal roaming the world, I will not forget to find your seven souls and six spirits, and burn them with the fire of the Nine Netherworlds for millennia..."

Hearing this, Qian Yuanzi's face twisted with indescribable ferocity.

He looked up hoarsely and said, "You ungrateful disciple, I raised you, and now you want to blind me in return? Dream on!"

Qian Yuanzi's movements became even faster.

The sound of flesh being torn apart echoed like the peeling of skin in hell, making the deserted temple terrifying beyond words.

But one step ahead means every step ahead.

Under Li Shiwuwu's careful planning, he had already gained the upper hand.

In this battle for the 'Seed Immortal,' he would not lose.

Finally, only a patch of scalp remained on the top of his head.

"Master, your disciple is ahead."

Li Shiwuwu's tone was light and filled with amusement as he watched.

Qian Yuanzi glanced over at the sound, and was momentarily stunned.

Then, without hesitation, he fell to his knees, wagging his head like a defeated dog.

"You ungrateful... no... Fifteen, my disciple!"

"Master begs you, stop, please stop."

"I've searched for this temple my whole life, my entire life."

"You can't do this... you can't..."

Yet Li Shiwuwu's eyes remained calm, and at this final moment, his emotions settled.

He spoke softly, with a hint of mockery, "Master, thank you."

"I really like this opportunity with the Seed Immortal Temple, truly."

With a final exertion of his hand, after the last flash of blood...

At that moment.

Li Shiwuwu's entire body fell uncontrollably into the strange black soil, disappearing without a trace.

"No... no..."

Qian Yuanzi roared to the sky, filled with unwillingness, frustration, and regret.

But with Li Shiwuwu's success in 'seeding the immortal,' the peculiar vitality from the black soil no longer flowed into him.

Without that vitality to sustain him, and having torn his flesh in a frenzy, Qian Yuanzi was left broken and battered.

At this moment.

He fell straight down, like a candle in the wind, his life nearing its end.

"Rebellious disciple, come out, come out for me."

"The immortal fate is mine, the Seed Immortal Temple is mine."

"Give it back to me, give it back..."

Qian Yuanzi, like a child, cried as he crawled step by step toward where Li Shiwuwu had vanished, leaving a trail of thick blood behind.

He had dreamed his whole life, sought his whole life, plotted his whole life.

Never did he imagine it would all end in vain, failing at the last moment, making a wedding dress for someone else.

Qian Yuanzi died.

He died from his own caution and suspicion, from his arrogance and pride, from his many misdeeds, and from fate itself.

He lay there in the Seed Immortal Temple he had longed for, his eyes wide open, dying with unresolved grievances.

And this cruel 'seed immortal' drama seemed to come to an abrupt end at this moment.

In the corner.

Hua Erling curled up, his fingers trembling slightly, only now regaining consciousness.

"Fifteen... Fifteen," he murmured.

"Cough... cough."

After spitting out a mouthful of bloody phlegm, he suddenly sat up.

Scanning the temple, he found no trace of Li Shiwuwu.

On the other side, Guan San, who had been slashed across the chest by Qian Yuanzi, was also not dead, but instead emitted faint, barely audible cries for help.

"Er... Erling."

"Save me, save me."

"We... we grew up together, I don't want to die."

"Fifteen has already 'seeded the immortal,' once he becomes an immortal, our good days will come, help me, I beg you..."

Looking at the strong man lying in a pool of blood, Hua Erling's eyes were filled with nothing but disgust.

"Heh, you don't want to die?"

"Did those senior brothers you betrayed want to die?"

Hua Erling roared, closing his eyes tightly, choosing to ignore him.

Slowly, Guan San finally stopped breathing.

Looking at the familiar corpse of his fellow disciple.

Hua Erling only sighed, "If you had known it would come to this, why did you do it?"

Then, he glanced at Qian Yuanzi's corpse.

And at that moment, something unexpected happened.

The deserted temple began to vanish bit by bit before Hua Erling's eyes, as if it had never existed.

"This..."

Hua Erling was at a loss for what to do, hurriedly looking down.

He saw that the strange black soil in the temple was still there, like a neatly arranged vegetable plot, ten meters long and wide, spread out before him.

The remains of Qian Yuanzi, Guan San, and Shi Erba were also laid on the black soil.

Apart from that, there was the toad-like Lord Guan, the size of a millstone, squatting there silently.

Seeing that nothing was missing, Hua Erling couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

"Thank goodness, thank goodness."

Then, he sat down heavily.

Letting the cold wind brush his face, his emotions surged, sometimes crying, sometimes laughing.

"They're dead, all dead."

"Hou Qi, Zhao Si, Shi Erba, Guan San, and Qian Yuanzi, all dead..."

...

The next day.

As daylight gradually brightened.

Hua Erling, supporting his injured body, moved the remains of Qian Yuanzi and the others from the strange black soil.

He was worried that the three corpses might affect Li Shiwuwu's 'seeding the immortal.'

After finishing, he stood by the black soil.

Calling out, "Fifteen, are you okay? Can you hear me?"

Hua Erling's tone was concerned, with no trace of greed in his eyes.

"Fifteen, you must do well, you have to succeed in 'seeding the immortal'!"
